What are Ogden’s safest, least safe neighborhoods? Here’s what the community says.

Every neighborhood has its reputation. 

And while some are dubbed the fanciest, prettiest or most fashionable, others get stuck with less desirable labels: Most dangerous. Run down. Ghetto

As our exploration of the perceptions and stereotypes surrounding Ogden progressed, we were curious what the community thinks of the city's neighborhoods. So, we conducted a monthlong survey asking for opinions.

We'd like to point out the survey, which was taken by 527 people, wasn't scientific. However, it does provide some insight into the way our community thinks about Ogden neighborhoods, which were carved out based on the Ogden City General Plan's 18 planning districts. 

Take a look at the maps below to see how people responded to the questions. If you'd like to know more about the people who took the survey — including where they live, when they were in Ogden last, their races and their ages — scroll to the bottom of the story. 

For each question about the neighborhoods, respondents could "vote" for multiple neighborhoods. The more votes a neighborhood got, the darker the hue of red in the maps below.
