Finding hope, healing and home

In Central Ogden, there sits a small, unassuming home along Adams Avenue.

At any point, dozens of women from around Utah are trying to find a spot in one of the Ruth House’s five beds.

The women who enter through the front door are often coming from the worst times in their lives. They’re leaving jail, battling addiction and trying to rebuild broken families.

The founders of the Ruth House hope that a safe place to live and a strong network of support can help residents along the bumpy road to recovery.

“I really felt that maybe this could change my life,” said Stephanie Bryant who moved into the Ruth House in early 2017. “I knew that if I made it past the first three weeks of being out of jail, that there was a chance for me.”
