The public got its first peek of the inside of the newly renovated Jordan River Utah Temple as The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints shared photos in preparation for tours to begin this week.
The temple, at 10200 S. 1300 West in South Jordan, will be open for public tours for six weeks starting Saturday, March 17, 2018.
Complimentary tickets are available for the temple open house at templeopenhouse.lds.org.
The temple, which is more than 30 years old, will be rededicated Sunday, May 20, in three sessions: 9 a.m., noon and 3 p.m. The sessions will also be broadcast to LDS Church meetinghouses in the temple districts of the Jordan River, Oquirrh Mountain and Draper Utah temples, according to a press release. Regular Sunday meetings on May 20 will be canceled, and a cultural celebration will be held Saturday, May 19.
