'There are the rough areas, sure, but it’s that way with any town.'

After traveling to numerous other states across the country, Kirt Williams doesn’t understand why people dog on Ogden.
Williams, 42, owns Williams Transportation, and his wife teaches at Bonneville High School.
“I’ll be here forever,” he said. “We invest in Ogden because we own businesses up there, we coach and are part of the community. We just love it.”
Williams lived in Syracuse for 13 years before moving to South Ogden. He doesn’t understand those who criticize Ogden, though he theorized it might be the town’s railroading history and admitted it does have some rough spots.
“It’s the beauty of it, the tradition, the history,” he said. “There are the rough areas, sure, but it’s that way with any town.”
