Horse Therapy program for physically disabled children celebrates 40 years

Freedom Riders, a non-profit designed to help children with physical disabilities through horse therapy, is celebrating its 40th anniversary this summer. This Saturday, Aug. 4, Freedom Riders are having a picnic to celebrate. It starts at 6:30pm at the Ogden Botanical Gardens MTC Pavilion, 1750 Monroe Boulevard.

For five nights in July, ropers and riders from around the world descended on Ogden and thousands of fans showed up for the 85th annual Ogden Pioneer Days Rodeo. Tyler Bingham grew up in Weber County and competed in high school rodeo competitions while attending Fremont High School. Now 25, Bingham lives in Howell and is a professional bull rider trying to make it to his first National Finals Rodeo.

On Saturday, July 23, Bingham returned to Weber County to compete in the Ogden Pioneer Days Rodeo.
